Jerika Richardson

Jerika L. Richardson is a nationally recognized civil rights and public policy leader, currently serving as Senior Vice President for Equitable Justice & Strategic Initiatives at the National Urban League. She leads national advocacy efforts on voting rights, criminal justice reform, economic equity, and combating gun violence, hate, and extremism, while supporting a network of over 90 affiliates. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board and in the de Blasio administration, where she advanced major reforms in police oversight, transparency, and equity. Her career also includes roles in federal law enforcement and media, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and ABC News. In addition to her professional work, she serves on multiple civic boards and is a frequent speaker on issues of justice, equity, and public policy.
