A Chicago native now based in Florida, Susan is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of diverse experience driving workforce development, managing complex projects, and shaping educational initiatives. Her deep passion for empowering individuals and fostering career advancement has been the hallmark of her career. Susan's background spans roles in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors, as well as teaching and administration within educational institutions, complemented by impactful grant and contract work with local, state, and federal government agencies. Currently, she is the Senior Manager for the Apprenticeship Program at IREC, dedicated to building sustainable career pathways within the vital clean energy sector. Prior to this, Susan served as a Business Engagement Specialist for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship through LPES. Her prior leadership roles include Director of Workforce Development at MissionCare Collective, where she pioneered innovative training programs, Apprenticeship Outreach Specialist at the Florida Department of Education and Apprenticeship Coordinator at St. Petersburg College.
