Robert Zardeneta

Vice President of Programs, Los Angeles Urban League

Robert Zardeneta has more than a decade of experience developing sustainable career pathways for underrepresented communities on both a local and national level. As Senior Manager of Green Workforce for the City of LA Mayor’s Office of Sustainability under both the Garcetti and Bass Administrations, Robert was a key member of LA City and County Just Transition Task Force planning team which created strategies to support workers and frontline communities impacted by the phase out of oil drilling and he developed a comprehensive Citywide Green Workforce Strategy to support an inclusive green workforce ecosystem in Los Angeles. As Senior Advisor, Strategic Initiatives for the US Green Building Council, California, Robert developed a statewide green building workforce development framework. Robert was also the Executive Director of two Nationally recognized Youthbuild programs in East LA and Boyle Heights and was the Deputy inclusivity Manager for the LINXS Automated People Mover at LAX which is the centerpiece of the Los Angeles World Airports Landside Access Modernization Program. Robert currently serves as the Vice President of Programs for the Los Angeles Urban League where he directs program design and implementation strategies across Workforce Development, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Advocacy pillars.
