
Gyasi Headen
Executive Director, Pathways to Apprenticeship (P2A)
Gyasi Headen is the Executive Director of Pathways to Apprenticeship (P2A), where he leads efforts to dismantle decades of union exclusion by helping underserved communities gain access to careers in union construction. With more than 20 years of experience in workforce development, homeless services, and substance use programs, Gyasi has dedicated his career to creating opportunities that promote success and independence for under- and unemployed individuals.
Before joining P2A, Gyasi spent eight years at the Osborne Association, first as Deputy Director of Jail-Based Services and later as Director of Workforce Development, where he worked extensively with people impacted by the criminal legal system. Having worked at many large organizations in NYC where there was intersectionality between criminal legal system contact and other barriers to employment. His career reflects a deep commitment to education, equity, and economic mobility as pathways to lasting change.
Gyasi holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Silberman School of Social Work and is a graduate of CORO’s Workforce System Leadership Program.
