Tameeka Colon

Born in New York, raised in The Bronx, and now residing in Brooklyn, Tameeka Colon has been creating innovative and engaging independent content since 2011. An authentic storyteller, Colon found her voice in film through music. What started out as a hobby, naturally transformed into producing, as she began developing and writing short scripts for music videos in 2015. As a graduate of Brooklyn College, Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, her silent film "Perfect Stranger" was not only selected as a Faculty Pick of 2016 but was also selected as a finalist for the Glamour and Girlgaze #NewView Film Competition in 2017. Since then, she has gone on to produce digital media for prominent artists and companies including, Brooklyn Ballet, Droga5, LaLutta Productions, AfroPunk, The Bennett Sisters, Toshi Reagon, and has produced music videos for artists such as Elle Winston's "Downtown" and "Go", starring Grammy Award Winning artist, Anna Wise (Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A ButterFly).
