Bobby Scott
Southern Region Director, National Council of Urban League Guilds
Presently holds the position of Southern Region Director National Council of Urban League Guilds since Sep 2016. Mr. Scott holds a membership of the Houston Area Urban League Guild since 2007 where he was president of the Guild and Board member of the Houston affiliate from 2008 until 2011 and served a second term from 2013 until 2016. Under his leadership, the Guild won the following awards in 2015 2nd Place Southern Region Fundraising; 2014 1st Place Southern Region Fundraising and 2013 1st Place Southern Region Fundraising.
Mr. Scott is a volunteer member of the Houston Ensemble Theater Guild since 2008. He serves in the leadership role of Special Events & Opening Night Committee Chairperson since 2011. Bobby W Scott is an active member of other professionals, civic and community-oriented organizations. He is a member Texas Business Travel Association from Jan 2012 until now. In 2016 he was the recipient of the $3,000 Professional Development Scholarship. He volunteers at RodeoHouston (the largest non-profit in Houston) of which he is a member of the Premium Seating Committee since 2012 and briefly served on the Directions & Assistance Committee from Jan 2011 to May 2013
Mr. Scott has rendered his volunteer service to the Center for Healing Racism (CHFR) 1999 – 2005. There he served in the following capacities: 2000 – 2006 | CFHR member; 2000 | Workshop Facilitator; 1999 - 2005 | Board member and 2001 - 2003 | Board Chairperson
In 2015 Mr. Scott accepted an appointment to the Flo-Motion Dance Association (FMDA) board of directors. His tenure on the FMDA board ends in 2021.
