Flavors of The Isle

FOIWhen Ebony applied for the PepsiCo grant, her business was in financial danger. They ran out of money and could not complete the development and construction of her restaurant and bar. Without this financial assistance, they would not have been able to move forward and now be open. She started Flavors of The Isle in 2014 as an at-home catering business. They were forced to move the business out of the home and into a more professional environment, so in 2018 they moved the business into one of Cincinnati's incubator kitchens, Findlay Kitchen. Once they moved into the incubator kitchen, they were afforded more public attention, bringing them more business. From 2018 to 2022, they have been a catering and ghost kitchen without a brick-and-mortar facility. The pandemic hit them hard. However, she was determined to move forward! "By God's grace alone, I've been able to sustain and grow the business in areas needed. Having a brick-and-mortar was necessary for sustainability and longevity. Without the generous amount of education and financial assistance from PepsiCo, Flavors of The Isle could have dissolved. Thank you, PepsiCo, and the Urban League of Greater Southern Ohio, for the much-needed support!!! Please take a look at what you have contributed too!!!!" Ebony Williams said.
