Reclaim Your Vote Campaign Educates Voters By The Thousands
Youth and families learned about voter suppression, ways to vote and the impact of their vote. During National Voter Registration Week current students, scholars (first time voters) and parents were invited to two events, National Black Voter Day Twitter Chat and HBCU Virtual Vote Rally to learn more about the importance of their vote. Students from the Chicago Urban League led a youth town hall discussion open to all Project Ready students about why voting matters.
ResultStudents volunteered in voter registration events and prepared a public service announcement with the key message “Get Out to Vote” and how to vote safely during COVID-19.
