Program Manager, Business Development & Entrepreneurship Center at the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO)

Vanessa Sanchez is the Program Manager for the Business Development & Entrepreneurship Center (BD&E) at the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO). Since joining the Urban League in 2017, Vanessa has plays a pivotal role in supporting the business ecosystem across Cincinnati and Dayton through her work on all three of the BD&E's signature programs. She has provided invaluable business resources and guidance to entrepreneurs, helping them grow and scale their ventures.

As Program Manager, Vanessa oversees all BD&E eduactyion and training projects, ensuring they are strategically aligned with both business objectives and the Urban League's mission to empower underserved communities. In addition to program management, she leads marketing efforts, driving visibility and engagement for each project through her deep expertise in marketing and digital strategies.

With over 22 years of experience across a broad range of industries, Vanessa brings a wealth of knowledge in areas such as administration, sales, human resources, accounting, customer service, business resource coordination, event planning, project management, and marketing. Known by her colleagues as a "Marketing Guru," Vanessa excels at implementing processdriven solutions and navigating complex challenges to achieve optimal results.

Vanessa holds a BA in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and is a Certified Business Advisor from Kent State University. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she plays a vital role in expanding the Urban League's reach within the Hispanic community in Cincinnati and Dayton. Vanessa’s combination of leadership, cross-functional expertise, and commitment to community development makes her a key asset in driving the success of the Urban League's programs and its impact on local businesses.
