Brenda Morrison
President, Urban League of Broward County Young Professionals
Brenda Morrison is a leader, visionary & a fierce community advocate who hails from Broward County, Florida. Throughout her life stages, Brenda has used adversity to grow into a new iteration of herself. Brenda received her Associates in Arts degree from Broward College in 2015, a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Florida International University in 2017, & a Master’s in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 2022.
Having served as an aide to Former U.S. Senator Bill Nelson in his Broward County Outreach Office in 2018 and a Legislative Aide to City of Lauderhill, FL, Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn in 2021, Brenda has worked on several community initiatives including a business incubator program for small business owners & addressing racial health disparities through the social determinants of health. Currently, Brenda is a Program Associate with the Miami Foundation.
Brenda is passionate about fostering relationships with current & future generations of young professionals to empower them to be change agents in their communities. Brenda currently serves as the President for the Urban League of Broward County Young Professionals Network. Through her involvement in NULYP, Brenda was able to successfully advocate for the passage of the CROWN Act in her hometown.
