Bobby W. Scott

A lifetime native of Houston, Texas. A graduate of Yates High school. Holding an associate degree in Paralegal Studies and a bachelor's degree in Technical Business Mgmt. A travel management professional that owns numerous professional designations and certifications in the travel industry. Presently work for a multinational staffing firm specializing in the oil & gas industry, medical industry, and automotive industry.  

 A proud father of 4 beautiful children (2 boys and two girls). A happy grandfather of 4 granddaughters and one grandson. 

Served on numerous nonprofits boards in the Houston area. Such as the Center for Healing Racism and Flo-Motion Dance Association.   Served on the Houston Area Urban League board of directors from 2007-2011 and 2013 – 2016.

Joined the Houston Area Urban League GUILD in 2005 and became president of the local Guild chapter from 2007 until 2009. As president, the Guild earned national and regional awards in Fundraising and Community Services Projects. Served as Vice President from 2011 until 2012 and became president again in 2013. During my tenure as president, the Guild realized some of the most successful fundraising events. I guided the Guild into a digital and social media space.

Appointed Southern Region Director of the National Council of Urban League Guilds in 2016. Elected as National Vice President of the National Council of Urban League Guilds in 2019. I stepped into NCUG National president role in 2020 when the former president resigned.
