Harper Matthews is a talent and people leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning higher education, talent acquisition, early career strategy, and leadership development. Throughout her career at Capital One, McKinsey & Company, and Pepperdine University, she has focused on recruiting, developing, and engaging early career talent and designing programs and experiences that strengthen connection, belonging, and retention.
Harper holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in education from Pepperdine University. Her passion for developing the next generation of leaders extends beyond her professional work and into her commitment to service. A longtime leader within the Urban League Movement, Harper has served in leadership roles at both the local and national levels and currently serves on the Greater Washington Urban League Advisory Board.
Across her professional and community work, Harper is passionate about creating meaningful pathways for emerging leaders to contribute, grow, and lead.
