Mark Crawford Sr. was able to purchase his first home, just 9 days shy of his 60th birthday, thanks to the help of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis & Progressive’s Down Payment Assistance Award.
Mr. Crawford stated, “It has been a difficult journey to say the least but receiving this award made a meaningful difference in my journey toward homeownership. It helped me cover essential costs that allowed me to secure a stable and safe place to call my home, not just for me but for my family and generation to come as well. I hope National Urban League continue to bless others as they blessed me with this opportunity. I can say with sincere gratitude and confidence that when I leave this earth, I am able to leave my family a home.”
ResultOwning a home has been a long-term goal, and I was able to achieve that goal. Words will never amount to how thankful I am for the part the National Urban League played in helping me achieve my goal.
