Natasha Innis
National Urban League Young Professionals
Programs Chair
Natasha Inniss can best be described as a change agent at the intersection of education, technology, and social justice. From an early age, she developed a passion for education, faith, and family. With those passions and her New York City Caribbean-American background, she learned the value of working for what you want, tenacity, and the value in being a true and loyal person.
Natasha holds a B.A. in Psychology and Management-Organization from Spelman College. She also has her Ed.M. in Education Culture, and Society from Rutgers University in addition to a certification in education technology.
She has had an extensive career in K-12 education with 16 years managing programming and building relationships with schools and districts nationwide and internationally. Following graduation from Spelman in 2006, Natasha began her career working three years as a director of a national chain of tutoring centers in Maryland until she was accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellowship. After a brief stint in teaching, Natasha moved back to Maryland in 2010 to manage after school Title-I funded programs. She also did this work in Chicago. Upon moving back to the east coast in 2014, Natasha excitedly settled in Newark, New Jersey and has worked in educational technology as a Customer Success Manager ever since.
If you ask Natasha what gets her out of bed every day, besides coffee, it would be social impact. In 2015 Natasha began her NULYP journey with the Urban League of Essex County Young Professionals (ULECYP) where she served as Interim Vice President and Community Service Chair. She then served as a NULYP programs committee member, leading NDOS and YPFit initiatives and serving as Awards Co-Chair.
Natasha now serves as Programs Chair, overseeing all national programming for NULYP. Her work with NULYP and in EdTech fuels her passion for impacting social change and equity in underserved communities.
