It helps us fund educational programs

• Each year we serve 700,000 in early childhood and after school programs, and have awarded over $10 million in college scholarships since 1999

Develop homeownership opportunities

• We provide housing counseling to 20,000 people annually, with $15 million in mortgages for new homebuyers
• Engage in job development and workforce training
• We place 25,000 people in jobs, from entry level to CEO and offer job training and career counseling to thousands of others

Improve community health

• We serve over 130,000 individuals through direct programs and services related to healthcare and work with other organizations to address health crises such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimers, obesity and nutrition, depression, and HIV/AIDS.

Expand minority entrepreneurship

• We support and assist in the development of minority owned businesses.

Advocate on critical public policy affecting African Americans, low-income communities and people of color, as well as provide dynamic research and publications on issues impacting urban communities.
