The National Urban League Equal Opportunity Day (EOD) Awards Dinner honors individuals and corporations who perpetuate the principle of equal opportunity and exhibit leadership qualities that result in notable contributions to the cause of equal rights.
Proceeds from the dinner benefit the League's programs and services in our five focus areas:
Education and Youth
Economic Empowerment
Health and Quality of Life
Civic Engagement
Civil Rights and Racial Justice
Past honorees include Magic Johnson, Oprah Winfrey, Muhammad Ali, Condoleeza Rice, Iman, Merrill Lynch and General Motors Corporation.
The dinner also honors corporations and foundations that have donated $5 million or more in the past year, through induction in to the National Urban League Five Million Dollar Hall of Fame, as well as individuals who have donate $1 million or more to the Million Dollar Hall of Fame.
