The National Urban League's Conferences Department is responsible for the development, administration and management of the organization's signature events.

The department assists in the site selection, planning, coordination and execution of the League's major special events, including the AOE Mid-Winter Conference, Legislative Policy Conference, Regional Assemblies, Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) Conference, National Urban League Annual Conference, Influencers Summit, NUL Benefit Concert, Whitney M. Young Center for Urban Leadership: Urban Leadership Development Conference and the Equal Opportunity Day Dinner.

To convene these events, the Conferences Department also:

• Develops overall event agenda and program content
• Secures speakers
• Manages vendors and consultants
• Solicits corporate sponsors and partnerships
• Recruits companies and organizations to participate as exhibitors and career fair participants
• Secures venues for meetings, conferences and special events
• Registers conference attendees; and
• Coordinates conference logistics

On site at the event location, the Conferences Division oversees each element of the event's agenda, including:

• Scripting sessions,
• Designing program backdrop and coordinating and managing all technical requirements
• Coordinating local transportation for event participants and attendees; and
• Managing event logistics.
