The Affiliate Services Department serves as the "Hub of the Wheel' for the affiliate network, which consists of more than 100 Urban League affiliates in 35 states and the District of Columbia; and serves more than 2 million clients each year.

It is the mission of the department to establish and maintain an effective and efficient system of delivering services to local affiliates in order to strengthen and enhance their capacities to serve the needs of their constituencies. This delivery of support services enables them to act singularly, collectively, and cooperatively with other organizations in the accomplishment of affiliate goals and objectives.

The Affiliate Services Department is responsible for the following:

• Technical assistance in the areas of board governance, fiscal management, strategic planning and fundraising
• Certification of Affiliate CEOs
• Curriculum and Professional development for affiliate staff and volunteers
• Affiliate Performance Assessment
• Affiliate Compliance with Policies, Standards and Procedures
• New Affiliate Development

Additionally, Affiliate Services is also the principal liaison to constituent auxiliaries, including the Association of Executives (CEOs), Association of Chief Fiscal Offices, National Council of Affiliate Board Chairpersons, and the National Council of Urban League Guilds and National Urban League Young Professionals.
