QUERYMASTER CD-ROM BRINGS THE
WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT RIGHT TO THE DESKTOP
New York, NY, March 2002The National Urban Leagues Workforce Investment Demonstration Project (WIDP) team has released a CD-ROM that helps workforce development professionals stay up-to-minute on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) through access to fully searchable text of the Act, the Final Rules of the Act, links to critical information and resources and more.
Produced in partnership with Frameweld, a one-stop shop for powering organizations with innovative Internet and rich media solutions and products using cutting-edge technology (www.frameweld.com), the National Urban League WIA QueryMaster is the most comprehensive attempt to put all the details of the WIA at the fingertips of the workforce development community.
The WIA QueryMaster search engine facilitates the task of locating specific references within the WIA law and regulations, and the common terms utilized in both the law and regulations. Users can just type in the keywords they are trying to find information about and QueryMaster returns documents related to that keyword.
Users can narrow a search to certain sections of the WIA of the Final Rules by searching the table of contents, or through a Boolean search.
Other QueryMaster features include:
About WIDP - A historical backgrounder on the WIDP, including a video presentation and a link to the WIDP home page on the Web.
Document Downloads Select documents related to the WIA, including WIA Legislation, Final rules, WIA Conference Report, "Plain English" Version of the Act, Summary of Workforce Development Provisions of the Act and Side-by-Side Comparison of WIA to Current Law at the Time of Passage.
